The Project

Our restaurant client, The Simple Greek – East Providence, was looking for a way to increase sales & generate awareness around their gift cards during the holiday season. We wanted to create a campaign that would instantly put money in their pockets while simultaneously promoting their new gift cards.

The Process

To achieve this goal, we needed to get our message in front of a large audience in our market. We worked with a local television station to promote our message on the station’s popular “Rhode Show.” The general manager of The Simple Greek performed a cooking demonstration where she prepared 3 of the restaurants most-popular home-cooked recipes on live television. While cooking, the station promoted our gift card offer to their audience, “Buy a $50 gift card for a discounted price of $25.”

The Results

We offered 50 discounted gift cards for sale and sold out of all 50 gift cards shortly after the program ended. We also received 500+ visits back to The Simple Greek’s website from the promotion. We were able to promote our offer on television and on the station’s main website without any upfront costs. The television kept a percentage of the profits as compensation. The sold gift cards accomplished the goal of getting new customers in to the restaurant while also increasing store revenues.
